Welcome to Team and Organizational Leadership

Hi everyone,

My Name is Zoë Smith, I'm a senior and I will be graduating in May of this year. Which makes this my last semester of undergrad (wow that is so beyond weird).  I wanted to introduce myself a little before we get to know each other this semester.  I've had three different majors and 2 different minors through the past four years but after starting my own leadership journey at Leadershape 2013 I changed my major to History of Art and later added my Leadership Studies Minor. I'm from a small suburb of Cleveland called Beachwood but after I graduated from High School my family moved away from my suburban home to another area of Cleveland. I'm the youngest of three and have 2 older brothers and my family has three cats (currently).

I've always been facinated with people and their cultures which I think is why I'm so attracted to art. Art to me can tell you so much about what was going on during that time and the people who created it. I also LOVE to travel. As well as my brothers, my mother and I are all duel citizens. (the picture of the left is from when I studied abroad last May in Paris studying gothic art and architecture, and the picture on the left is from when I was interning in Tel Aviv in 2014 and had traveled to the Northern Part of the Country-near Syria)

Reflecting on my four years, I've be able to get involved in a plethora of activities. Through the Arts and Sciences Student Council, my sorority, Leadershape, Panhellenic, Greek Programming Board, buck-i-serv, and the Greek Community I've been able to meet and get to know so many dynamic buckeyes. I just got back from leading a buck-i-serv trip to Tennesee to work with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Nation. As well as I am finishing up my term as Vice President of Community Development for the Panhellenic Association later this month. After Graduation I plan on attaining a Masters Degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs and I am currently waiting to hear back from Graduate Schools.

I am so excited to work with all of you this semester and get to know you all individually, as well as I am here to be a resource for you.
